Job Summary:The Multi-Trade Carpenter role is responsible for
maintaining and repairing all factory and building equipment through
hands-on engagement or coordination with outside vendors.
They will be working on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly while prioritizing safety.
The ideal candidate is well organized, neat and a self-starter with a fixer
mindset—someone who enjoys tinkering and is curious.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance & Repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on factory equipment and studio infrastructure, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Be available for emergency maintenance needs to prevent service interruptions.
• Read manuals & wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Maintain logs and reports of all maintenance activities.
Electrical Work & Facility Construction
• Comfort around low voltage and up to 220v 3-phase electrical work.
• Conduct electrical repairs, including wiring, rebuilds, and fabrication when needed.
• Perform general construction tasks as needed to support minor projects around the facility.
• Includes rough carpentry, light drywall work, and painting.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
Documentation:
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Provide reports to management on maintenance status and flag any significant issues.
• Enter required data from maintenance reports into internal tracking system.
General Responsibilities:
• Proactively ensure safety compliance through regular inspections of systems (HVAC, sprinkler, fire, and forklift).
• Identify and maintain critical tools, parts, and supplies. Working with internal teams to manage inventory of these items.
• Install new equipment and work with contractors/vendors as required.
• Support meetings with outside vendors for complex repairs.
Qualifications:
• Ideally at least 2 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician or multi-trade carpenter experience with commercial factory/office build-outs and general construction.
• Strong technical skills in electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatics.
• Experience working on up to 3-phase 220v electrical systems.
• Forklift certification; OSHA training is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and lift heavy objects.
• General construction or carpentry experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills, and comfort with communicating via email, using web-based applications to help track PM service on machines and repairs around the facility.
Experience using MaintainX or similar maintenance programs a plus.
