Job Description
VectorNav's GPS and inertial navigation technology enables customers around the world to push the envelope in their respective fields, ranging from UAVs to walking robots to self-driving cars. Achieving success requires dedicated, intelligent and insightful engineers who can adapt, communicate, and apply their expert understanding of navigation systems to the application at hand.
- Work directly with customers throughout their design, development, and deployment process via email, phone & on-site visits to ensure VectorNav's products solve their navigation needs
- Create and improve tools to better enable customers (eg. software, reference designs, application notes)
- Attend trade shows and customer visits with sales team to interface with potential customers and determine the fitness of VectorNav's systems in their application
- Collaborate with product development teams to incorporate customer feedback to improve VectorNav hardware and software products
- Interface with sales and production teams to ensure a quality customer experience throughout the product life-cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (Master's preferred)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Background in or experience working with inertial navigation systems, GPS/GNSS technology, modern estimation (particularly Kalman filters), and/or modern controls
- Experience working with or troubleshooting hardware and electronics (especially robotics, UAV's, gimbal systems and/or other end applications common to VectorNav customers)
- Familiarity with Matlab, C/C++, Python or other software languages
