Job Description
Marshall Medical Center is seeking a full-time physician assistant with an interest in orthopedics to team up with a well-established orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedics with emphasis in upper extremity surgery and joint replacement surgery.
The position will be a balance of clinical and surgical assisting, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Clinic practice will include performing office procedures such as therapeutic injections, casting, fracture reduction, and other procedures, along with managing clinic patients. Our physicians are progressive and make continual improvement and practice enhancement top priorities, and are therefore open to potential expansion of the role of the PA.

- Full-time position – four to five days per week
- 32 face to face contact hours over a minimum of 4 days/week
- 188 workdays per year
- 2 scheduled OR days
- Ability to work at the brand-new outpatient clinic in El Dorado Hills 1/2 day per week
- Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
- Assist orthopedist with inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases during normal business hours at a level III trauma center
- Opportunity to work in close partnership with a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy, joint replacement, and orthobiologics
- Strong PPO population
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Graduate of an accredited PA program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant
- Current California license
- Certification by the NCCPA
- BLS
- DEA license
