The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between the Security Specialists and Security Leads. They will supervise the day-to-day tasks and duties, provide coaching, and recognition. In addition, the Security Shift Supervisor will administer performance management, in collaboration with their Security Lead. Essential Duties/Tasks: • Ensure all active posts (including temporary or ad-hoc jobs) are always covered during your shift. This includes handling call off's and finding suitable coverage as needed. This may include staffing posts where suitable coverage cannot be found. • Oversee the workflow, schedules, and assignments of the Security Specialists across multiple locations. • Inspect every active post and Security Specialist at least once per week to ensure the quality and compliance in the following areas: • Security Specialist wellbeing, including health and safety • Compliance with Customer requirements • Compliance with TRIDENT requirements • Uniform quality and compliance • Post orders are always up to date and relevant. • Receive, document, and escalate Security Specialist questions and concerns. • Provide ongoing documented field training for new and existing Security Specialists. • Ensure every Security Specialist is visited at least twice per shift. • Answer telephone calls, take messages, answer questions, and provide information as needed, referring and escalating issues to the appropriate resources as needed. • Respond to and report all emergency situations during your shift. • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities as required by Trident, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences. • Any other duties as assigned by Trident.Skills/Abilities: • Self-Control: This role requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations. • Stress Tolerance: This role requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations. • Persistence: This role requires persistence in the face of obstacles. • Initiative: This role requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and solve challenges. • Dependability: This role requires being reliable, responsible, dependable in fulfilling obligations, and excellent time management. • Critical Thinking: This role requires the ability to think clearly and rationally given a set of facts, and being an active learner. • Team Player: This role requires enthusiasm and a positive attitude to deliver a high level of customer service. • Interpersonal Skills: This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and interact with others at all levels.Working Environments/Physical Requirements: • You are required to drive a company/client vehicle between sites. • This is a physical job that requires the ability to work in different environments and terrains, as well as frequent travel between client buildings and/or campuses. • You are required to work inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions. • You are required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. • Flexibility to work all shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and willingness to work overtime when needed.Reporting Structure & Classification: • The Security Shift Supervisor is a full-time hourly non-exempt position that reports directly to the Security Lead.
