Do you want to play a role in global commerce?

We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join Global Payroll team. Under the supervision of the Head of Payroll & Benefits Europe, you will be responsible for managing payroll and benefits for several of our countries across Europe (14 countries, 700 employees in total). What’s needed to do that:

  • Oversee and manage the monthly payroll process for about 5 European payroll entities
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner by reviewing and approval of payroll input and output reports, third party payments and review of payroll journals and reconciliations
  • Work closely with HR, compensation, accounting, treasury and HR technology teams
  • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements for Service Organizational Control (SOC)
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality about critical and sensitive information, records and reports
  • Subject matter expert for payroll operations and point of contact for escalations
  • Support new and terminated employees’ benefits (de)enrollment in coordination with the Local HR team
  • Review payroll and benefit related invoices against contract terms and enrollment
  • Awareness of changes to current payroll legislation to advise the business on necessary changes
  • Support the Head of Payroll & Benefits Europe in projects related to payroll

Tell us if you’re ready:

  • Detailed knowledge of handling multi-country payrolls within Europe as well as (international) payroll practices and regulations
  • Proficient with HR systems and third-party payroll platforms; Workday and activpayroll preferred; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal communication skills; confident and able to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • English proficiency is required. A second language (speaking or written) in one or more of the following is a plus: German, French, or Dutch.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to details.
  • Minimal 5 years of relevant experience in European payroll and benefits
  • Comfortable working in an outsourcing environment and in country processors of 3rd party vendors
