Job Description
The Sierra Foothills Community Based Outpatient Clinic Aka Auburn CBOC is nestled in the Sierra Foothills—close to both Reno and Sacramento. We proudly serve 4000+ veteran patients annually and consistently score as the best clinic in the Northern California Health Care System. We provide primary care, mental health, and audiology services. We are growing our rural clinic and hope to serve veterans with more services. We are also working on creating more robust partnerships with our sub-specialists at our Mather Hospital.
Seeking full-time, Board Eligible/Certified Family, or Internal Medicine physicians. Eligible applicants should be able to provide comprehensive primary care, including gender-specific care (e.g. Women's Health). Our Primary Care Physician (PCP) functions as a team provider in shared workflow with a multidisciplinary Patient-Aligned Care Team (PACT - a medical home model), or as a provider assigned to provide comprehensive, collaborative same day and continuity care to an assigned panel of Veterans as well as to patients outside the assigned panel when Veteran care indicates a need for such. Medical care is delivered in accordance with current clinical practice guidelines with attention to prevention via utilization of evidence-based clinical decision-making tools. In addition to the provision of high-quality medical care, PACT Physicians demonstrate excellence in customer service via compassionate and informed interpersonal relationships with veterans, family members and staff.
Salary Range: $240,000-$285,000
Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen, (green card, or visa eligible) 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state and 3) board certification in family or internal medicine.
INCENTIVES: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offers up to $200,000 over 5-years, tax-free and/or Recruitment Incentive with minimum 3-year service obligation. Recruitment/ relocation may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
