We are looking for a Plumbing Superintendent to join our team.
Plumbing Superintendents are hands-on managers who is comfortable directing and evaluating on-site personnel by staying engaged in all aspects of the project. They must maintain an open, positive, and professional line of communication with the company’s customers, i.e., builders, vendors, homeowners, internal customers, and trade partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems
• Skilled in relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures installation and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of Plumbing materials, equipment, and appropriately matched systems.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
• Familiarity with Project Management skills, including scope, time, and budget management.
• Solid understanding of building plans and specifications and the ability to maintain and interpret construction
drawings for on-site team.
• Ability to successfully coordinate schedules, workforce, equipment, and resources.
• Skilled in submittal data and construction documents.
• Proven ability to supervise, lead and develop teams.
• Must possess a calm demeanor, be team oriented, discreet, and willing to receive constructive feedback.
• Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee multiple foreman and installers in multiple areas in installation of plumbing systems,
including timecard review, updates, submission, and delivery of paychecks.
• When necessary; assist and train field team as needed
• Lead team to meet deadlines; ensure on-time and accurate completion in accordance with project plans.
• Plan and coordinate crews with tasks to be performed, monitor performance.
• Coordinate with builder, project manager, and project engineer to ensure job metrics are met
• Manage system start-ups and testing
• Read and comprehend blueprints; troubleshoot any issues and coordinate with General Manager and Field
Team
• Maintain consistent contact with builder to be aware at all times of expected installation dates.
Position Requirements
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Plumbing- Superintendent and/or Foreman
• OSHA Site Safety Experience
• Multi-lingual with fluency in English and Spanish a plus
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to use hands regularly to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and equipment. The employee is required to both see and hear. The employee must be able to walk, sit and stand. The employee occasionally lifts to 70 lbs., and occasionally kneels and bends.
Work Environment:
The environment is both office and construction sites. The Superintendent is often required to visit builder offices and job sites as well as meetings with other subcontractors and vendors.
The construction environment is subject to changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
