Program Manager
Position Summary
Colin’s Hope is a nonprofit based in Central Texas that provides water safety education to children and their families, schools, aquatic facilities, healthcare partners, and the community. We aim to instill life-long habits in children from an early age, teaching them to respect and love the water while being safer. We envision a world where children do not drown.
The Program Manager works directly with the Executive Director, Board Members, and other team members to manage program delivery. This position is designed to provide strong tactical support for Colin’s Hope, enabling the Executive Director to focus on high-level strategy and leadership. The role executes day-to-day operations, communications, and project and volunteer coordination with precision and follow-through. Some weekend and evening hours are required.
Program DevelopmentThis role includes advancing programs and meeting those needs through the recruitment and retention of partners for water safety education collaboration
• Execute and expand programs and projects that meet the educational mission of Colin’s Hope
• Establish, develop, and nurture relationships with community partner groups
• Provide leadership on internal projects and programs
• Provide leadership on external projects with community partners
Community Event SupportThe position will design and implement replicable and scalable volunteer structures to conduct community events, public awareness, health fairs, annual fundraising activities, and other settings where volunteers are critical in achieving the organization’s mission
• Promote volunteering (internally and externally) through recruitment and publicity campaigns.
• Create and deliver volunteer educational presentations and tabling activities to community groups of all ages to support Colin’s Hope mission.
• Complete follow-up activities: “thank you’s” to volunteers, organization, hosts, Athlete Ambassadors, new donor identification; ideas and stories shared; changes or corrections in information; update inventory of materials for tabling at community events
Communications and Media RelationsThe role requires communication with stakeholders, donors, and partners through a variety of channels
· Manage all aspects of organizational communications, both internally and externally
· Social media content creation and scheduling
· Monthly email newsletters and stakeholder updates
· Website updates and digital asset management
Duties and Responsibilities
• Draft, edit, and format internal and external communications, including reports, presentations, and donor materials
• Coordinate logistics and communications for key meetings and events, including board meetings and community events.
• Create and maintain project timelines, manage deadlines, and ensure accountability across team functions.
• Track and report on program outcomes, communication metrics, and stakeholder engagement
• Serve as primary liaison for vendor communications, contract management, and service providers.
• Proactively identify operational gaps and recommend solutions for increased efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, school service leagues, and other volunteer groups within the area.
• Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization to support program advancement.
Key Qualifications
â—Ź Bachelor of Science with a focus in Education or equivalent *Required
â—Ź Teaching certification or at least 5 years of equivalent classroom experience, preferably Texas *Required
â—Ź Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification or equivalent aquatic experience a plus

â—Ź Proficiency in software programs such as MailChimp, Canva, Google Drive, WordPress, etc.
