QA Technical Lead Live Network, MX

We are looking for a QA Tech Lead who will be responsible for making sure MX Dashboard quality is world-class by ensuring all deployments are top-rate. As a Tech Lead you will drive the test strategy and test planning by understanding the customer's scenarios and ensuring that there is very high resiliency (99.9999% network uptime) in customer's networks with new deployments. The goal of the Tech Lead will be to make sure Meraki MX customers have positive experiences when new Dashboard modifications are deployed. You will also work closely with multi-functional teams across the world's geographies.

In addition to driving test strategy, test planning, and performing testing on large-scale networks you will provide technical leadership to this newly formed Dash-QA team. Through testing, you will gain firsthand knowledge about the quality of the changes and be able to guide the team in improving the quality before we start deployments.

Please note that this position requires that you commute to either the San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA office 2+ days per week. 

• System/Solution level testing on various MX|MS|MR devices with DUT as MX Dashboard
• This role demands a solid understanding of various routing protocols, security features, and configuring the system using the dashboard and dashboard APIs.
• Understand existing customers' deployment models, and identify critical feature sets, and use cases.
• Develop and execute a solution-level test plan to ensure current dashboard changes don't break any features.
• Be that last gate in the deployment process after which dashboard changes directly get deployed to production.
• Analyze deployment issues, and put an execution plan around bridging the test gap.
• Hands-on with carrying out the system-level test and providing mentorship to the overall Dashboard-QA team.

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality assurance with routing and/or switching.
• 2+ years of solution-level testing experience in large-scale routing, switching, and wireless.
• In-depth knowledge of SDWAN, IPS, CF, Firewall, Port forwarding, Layer-2(VLAN/802.1Q)/Layer-3 (BGP/IP/OSPF/VPN/IPSec/NAT),and are at ease to ramp up quickly on new technologies and concepts.
• Ability to translate large and sophisticated routing, and SDWAN use cases into the test plans.
• Solid grasp of customer deployments and applying those findings to in-house testing and validations.
• Ability to write test scripts with one of the programming or scripting languages including Ruby, Python, or Robot.
• Experience with building, supporting, maintaining, and scaling automation in a CI/CD environment.
• Knowledge of end-to-end testing of physical embedded devices.
• Effective interpersonal skills and proven track record of collaboration with others.
• Experience with technically leading a team of solution or system-level engineers.
• Bachelor’s/Master of Science Degree in Computer Science (or a related field, or equivalent experience).

• Database queries and building a dashboard to present the data.
• Containerization technologies such as Docker, Swarm, or Kubernetes.
• Cloud networking testing/automation.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and AliCloud.
• Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Performed UI-based testing using UI frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, etc.
• Postgres or other RDBMS.
