About the Role:

Quality Technicians are involved in the entire course of manufacturing. They may inspect components before assembly, analyze products and processes during production, interface with customers, conduct root cause analysis on facility quality issues and ensure that the finished goods are ready for shipment to the end customer. During these processes, they record and analyze the results to determine whether the specific products meet all defined requirements and specifications and discuss with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing and Design Engineering as required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Receiving inspection, supporting the PPAP process and annual supplier evaluations.
  • Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product. Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
  • Participate in supporting Operations and Engineering to identify the root cause and be an active participate in identifying the solution and helping the team implement and ensure that it followed rigorously.

Your Background:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a production environment as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar role preferred.
  • Quality Technician preferred 2 to 5 years' experience.

Skills Needed:

  • Be able to use gages such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, plug gages, ring gages, etc.
  • Be able to read a drawing.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • CMM capability preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
