Job Description

U.S. Got People is searching for a Radiologic Technologists to work PRN Weekend Evenings (3p-1130p) at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduation from an radiology technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • Certification in addition to Basic Life Support: N/A
  • Licensure/Registration: A current registration as a Radiographic Technologist or Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART)
  • Schedule Needed to cover: Weekend Evenings (3p - 1130p)


Job duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Receive patients, schedule appointments, prepare and process examination requests and related records, file images, and process burning discs for patients when needed. Will enter and maintain data in radiology information system.
  • Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment to produce routine diagnostic medical Computes techniques and adjusts control panel settings such as kilo voltage, mill amperage, exposure time, and focal spot size.
  • Position patient to image desired anatomic Selects image recording media, adjusts table or cassette holder, aligns x-ray tube for correct distance and angle, and restricts radiation beam for maximum patient protection. Exposes and processes images.
  • Select imaging protocols and required accessories and makes adjustments based on the specific examination
  • Records and processes the Manipulate the recorded image using computer applications.
  • Assist physician with fluoroscopic, interventional, and special Instruct patient preparing for procedures.
  • Prepares and assists with contrast media Maintain emergency response cart. Assist physician in treating reactions to contrast material. Prepare sterile supplies and equipment.
  • Operate accessory equipment as directed.
