Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grant proposal writing and program development, with the ability to research funding opportunities and craft compelling narratives that align with our organization's mission. This role is essential for securing funding to support our initiatives and programs.
Responsibilities
• Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources to identify suitable prospects for the organization.
• Develop, write, and edit grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's needs and objectives.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for grant applications and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines, submission requirements, and follow-up communications.
• Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
• Maintain databases of submitted grants, funding sources, and outcomes to inform future applications.
• Assist in contract management related to awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
• Support fundraising efforts by contributing to donor communications and reports as needed.
Skills
• Proven experience in grant proposal writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Excellent proofreading and editing abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Familiarity with program development processes and best practices in nonprofit management.
• Proficient in research methodologies to identify potential funding sources effectively.
• Knowledge of contract management principles related to grants is a plus.
• Experience working with databases for tracking grants and fundraising efforts is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Pay: $73,602.00 - $122,670.00 per year
