Rheumatologist

St. Charles Health System is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to join our comprehensive and collaborative care team in Bend, Oregon. Position Highlights

• Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Practice based primarily in Bend, Oregon, with potential outreach locations as needed
• Participate in shared clinic call coverage with fellow Rheumatologists
• Treat a wide range of rheumatic conditions in both outpatient and occasional inpatient consult settings
• Work alongside experienced colleagues, infusion services, imaging (DEXA, ultrasound), and supportive specialists

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with rheumatologic diseases using evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans
• Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing
• Provide infusion care and joint injections in a modern clinical setting
• Collaborate with referring providers, primary care, and other specialties to ensure seamless care coordination
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, health maintenance, and chronic disease management
• Document all care in our integrated Epic EMR system in a timely and compliant manner
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
• Engage in ongoing CME to maintain licensure, board certification, and clinical excellence

Education

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship program

Licensure and Certification

• MD or DO with current Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board certified or eligible in Rheumatology
• Valid DEA license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient and hospital Rheumatology practice required
• 5+ years of active clinical experience preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (Epic experience preferred)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
