Job Title: Sr. Principal Technical Product Manager
Reporting to the Sr. Director Product Management of the Precision Imaging Network line of Business, the Senior Principal Technical Product Manager, will be responsible for driving the roadmap and execution for Nuance's market leading AI platform for a variety of clinical solutions within the provider and payor market segments. PIN is an AI-powered cloud platform that delivers patient-specific data and insights from diagnostic imaging into clinical and administrative workflows across the healthcare ecosystem. Leveraging the scale of Nuance's PowerScribe and PowerShare diagnostic imaging solutions, the Nuance Precision Imaging Network connects imaging stakeholders and facilitates the use of AI to inform precision diagnostics and therapeutics, increase clinician efficiency, and lower overall healthcare costs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Principal Technical Product Manager to help us evolve the next generation of our Cloud-based AI platform, tools, and solutions. This team is responsible for building a foundation for a variety of cloud-hosted AI services clinical workflows as well as for external partners to develop and commercialize AI models.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with external and internal customers to understand the critical market, segment, customer (VOC), and competitive and technology trends.
  • Clarify the definition, value, and design of the scalable cloud platform to support a variety of AI-enabled solutions.
  • Create/Manage/Drive the roadmap for cloud-based AI platform to drive development and adoption of a variety of AI-based solutions in clinical vertical subspecialty provider and payor applications.
  • Drive roadmap for the AI platform working closely with customer thought-leadership, R&D, and Cloud experts to drive customer value and internal synergies to proliferate cloud infrastructure and compute capabilities.
  • Define and drive technology trends, synergistic solutions, technical stack decisions and faster go-to-market approach to deliver value to the business and customers.
  • Investigate and understand market dynamics of competing technology platforms and long-term growth into AI-based solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-divisional coordination for the successful delivery, documentation, launch, service, integration, support, and customer adoption of the solutions.
  • Provide subject matter support to sales, partners, and professional services during customer engagements.
  • Work closely with R&D team on prioritization, ideation, scrum team support along with Product Owner(s).
  • Support and coach Product Owner(s) to bring customer needs and requirements into the day-to-day execution of product development and building solutions working closely with R&D.
  • Drive adoption of AI platform working closely with third-party AI developers, end-user customer adopters of AI and R&D teams internally.
  • Drive best practices internally and with our customers, while ensuring that Nuance technology is optimally integrated to deliver superior performance and end user satisfaction
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve the platform by proposing software and deployment architecture improvements

Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or a related field with 10 to 12 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience

Experience
  • Minimum 8 years in product development or product management with strong experience in cloud architecture, hosted solutions and driving customer value with SaaS.

Required Skills:
  • Strong experience in cloud SOA platform preferably Microsoft Azure, data platforms, technical expertise in microservices architecture, design, CI/CD, containerized deployments, communication/collaboration, telemetry and supporting tools.
  • Prior experience in software development or software requirement management, enterprise designs and cloud hosted microservices architecture.
  • Experience in enterprise scale SAAS systems
  • Knowledge and awareness of data privacy, security and related regulatory requirements.
  • Clear passion for software engineering, design, and performance.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including ability to make technical presentations to customers
  • Ability to think both technically and strategically to help build the next generation AI platform by aligning technical and business needs together
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
  • Good team leader and motivator, as well as being able to work with colleagues located in global locations.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure technical stack preferred with knowledge of database (SQL and no-SQL), services, networking and security and relevant Microsoft Azure Certifications
  • Experience in integration, development, and hosting of healthcare IT systems - EMR, RIS/CVIS, PACS, and VNA as well as healthcare information data types
  • Experience in related protocols such as HL7, DICOM, DICOM Web services, FHIR, MPI and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in big data management systems
  • 3+ years' of prior experience with AI and/or data platform
  • Familiar with Product Management methodologies and tools including in JIRA, AHA, and Confluence
  • Strong technical background in software design and cloud-based solutions
  • BS/MS in Computer science or Software engineering and MBA in Strategy or Healthcare.
