Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with computer architecture concepts, including microarchitecture, cache hierarchy, pipelining, and memory subsystems.
- 7 years of GPU or System architecture experience.
- Experience with graphics pipeline, APIs, and state-of-the-art rendering technologies.
- Experience with GPGPU workloads, programming models, and architectures.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.

As the GPU System Architecture Lead, you will manage a team and be at the forefront of innovation in GPU technology. You will deliver GPU system architecture and shape the GPU strategy of future Google Tensor SoCs by identifying emerging industry trends, defining technical requirements, analyzing key workloads, and proposing architecture features of next-generation GPUs. You will work closely with product management, various software and hardware engineering teams, and key developers within and outside of Google. By partnering with diverse teams, you will drive the GPU program from concept to product and leverage Google's vertical integration advantage to deliver a unique user's experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Identify industrial trends relevant to GPU technology and propose new GPU features and architecture optimizations.
- Partner with Product Managers to crystallize GPU technical requirements.
- Analyze key workloads for future GPU designs.
- Partner with various engineering teams to project PPA and recommend sizing of the next gen GPU.
- Manage the GPU program from conceptualization to productization.
