Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will apply advanced accounting principles to manage general ledger tasks, including reconciliations and inter-company transactions. This position offers the opportunity to develop and document efficient processes while collaborating with global business services to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries in alignment with accounting standards.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Create detailed written work instructions for accounting tasks to support global business services.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and clarifications.
• Develop and implement streamlined financial controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage inter-company transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Identify and address systematic deficiencies by creating efficient processes.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
• Hands-on experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create clear work instructions.
• Familiarity with internal and external audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and streamline financial controls and procedures.
