Staff Accountant

The Role...

The Staff Accountant is responsible for recording and reconciliation of transactional data as follows:

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in assigned areas.
• Assist in the month-end closing process in accordance with deadlines.
• Recording manual entries on a weekly basis to process transactions of the business.
• Help to identify and implement financial process improvements.
• Support the quarterly and year-end internal and external audit processes.
• Other ad hoc projects as required.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with good intuition.

Requirements...

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years’ experience in accounting, which experience in either a Big 4 firm or hospitality, CPG or retail environment.
• Pro-active and self-starter, with an ability to work collaboratively with finance and operations team members.
• Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting.
• Experience working in an ERP system with multiple entities is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Blackline a plus.
