JOB SUMMARY

The position's purpose is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the accounting department through financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Process AP invoices through bi-weekly batches.

• Create PO's as needed for purchases.

• Research payment issues.

• Verify receiving packets.

• Log purchase transaction adjustments.

• Track vendor rebates.

• Track raw material audits.

• Prepare month end journal entries (vendor rebates, AP invoice accruals).

• Daily/weekly/monthly reporting.

• File AP invoices (scan once we go live).

• Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations.

• Assist AR with invoice uploads.

• Initiate ACH drafts.

• Other duties as assigned to assist the finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent in years of work experience in a related field.

Experience

• 3 years in Accounting

Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; strong understanding of GAAP principles; strong 10-key and data entry skills; ability to compile balance sheets, comparative income statements, and cash flow statements
