As a Staff System Test Engineer, you will lead the integration and verification efforts for Hivemind Mission Autonomy employed on a variety of Unmanned platforms. You will work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast paced environment to help to plan and conduct test campaigns to achieve project milestones in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to design and implement test processes, infrastructure, and functions for integrating the Hivemind Mission Autonomy on various UAS platforms. 


What You'll Do:

  • Lead test campaigns for integrating Hivemind mission autonomy elements on a variety of external platforms. To include technical approach alignment with various engineering functions as well as internal and external program management entities
  • Generate test strategy for execution, to include system level test planning, verification and validation of all systems under test
  • Stand up and manage configuration of specific test elements, to include Software and Hardware-In-the-Loop, simulation tools and automated test pipelines
  • Develop test cases, metrics to measure system performance, and generate reporting artifacts for internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of flight test operations
  • Establish best practices and Standard Operating Procedures in-line with industry standards
  • Document test procedures, results, and lessons learned to contribute to the continuous improvement of flight test processes
  • Support travel to internal and customer integration events
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Software, Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in test environments including Software/Hardware In the Loop, and simulation environments in tech, defense or related field.
  • Experience with cross-functional support with Systems Engineering and design engineering functions.
  • You are organized and methodical.
  • You are a strong communicator, both written and verbally.
  •  You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense Operational Test and Evaluation (DT&E/OT&E) processes
  • UAS or autonomous system experience
  • Experience working in DoD SW/HW laboratories
