Rôle Sommaire

Relevant du gestionnaire Méthodes, Outillages Spéciaux et Innovation, le stagiaire participe à la conception des outillages et procédures d'installation, usinage, démontage, manutention et de levage relié aux projets majeurs récents ou en cours de soumission.

Responsabilités

• Analyser les informations techniques des projets (spécifications techniques, l'étendue des travaux, division du travail);
• Supporte la conception de l'outillage spécial pour l'assemblage au site selon la planification et les budgets du projet tout en considérant l'aspect EHS;
• Assister aux non-conformités relevées au site.
• Participe aux procédures projets et préparation de l'outillage;
• Préparer et exécuter des dessins techniques;
• Apporter un soutien technique à la chaîne d'approvisionnement et aux équipes montage;

Qualifications / Requis

• Étudiant au baccalauréat en génie mécanique;
• Communication en français et en anglais;
• Atout: Connaissance de Safety Standards for Material Handling and Lifting Equipment (OSHA) B30.20 sous le crochet;
• Atout : Connaissance en soudage et usinage est un atout;
• Leadership, Autonome, capacité de travailler en équipe et de communiquer efficacement;
• Doit être prêt à se soumettre au contrôle préalable à l'embauche, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, la vérification des références et la vérification des antécédents;
• Doit avoir l'autorisation de travailler sans restriction au Canada et US;

Caractéristiques désirées

• Être passionné par la conception en mécanique, l'innovation et par le domaine de l'énergie renouvelable - hydro-électricité;
• La connaissance des méthodes de calcul liées à la résistance des matériaux, à la simulation par éléments finis, à la métallurgie et au soudage sont des atouts pour ce travail;
• Dessin 3D NX;
• Connaissance SmartSheet et Excel Intermédiaire.

Role Summary / Purpose

Reporting to the Methods, Special Tooling & Innovation Leader, the tooling design intern engineer is involved in the design of installation tools, machining, dismantling, handling, and lifting tools to recent major projects or at tender stage.

Essential Responsibilities

• Analyze projects technical information (technical specifications, scope of work, division of work);
• Support the design of the site's special tooling for site assembly in accordance with site planning and budget considering the EHS aspect;
• Assist to the site Non Conformances
• Participate to the projects procedures & tooling preparation.
• Prepare information and execute technical drawings;
• Provide technical support for procurement and site activites;

Qualifications / Requirements

• Student Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• English;
• Asset: knowledge of Safety Standards for Material Handling and Lifting Equipment (OSHA) B30.20 Below the hook;
• Asset: knowledge of welding and machining;
• Leadership, Autonomous, ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
• Must be prepared for pre-employment screening including, but not limited to, reference checks and background checks;
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and US without restriction;

Desired Characteristics

• To be passionate about mechanical design, Innovation and the field of Renewable Energy - hydropower;
• Knowledge of calculation methods related to material resistance, finite element simulation, metallurgy and welding are assets;
• Dessin 3D drawing (NX);
• SmartSheet et Excel Intermediate knowledge.
