Job Summary
The Traffic Coordinator ensures the efficient orchestration of timelines, schedules and workflow in a high-volume, fast-changing environment, requiring strong communication, organization and reporting skills. The position will partner with teams in Digital, Marketing, Live Show, Video Content, Merchandising and Commerce Platforms to receive, define, schedule and process work requests. This role ensures logistics, execution, personnel, studio and equipment support are scheduled and delivered accordingly to the production timelines.
The Traffic Coordinator supports the execution teams by monitoring progress, providing regular overviews of the team workload and advising department management on resource availability. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient workflow processes and regularly suggests ways to bring innovation to the process; increasing operational efficiencies while reducing costs and improving the quality of content produced.
Your Impact and Job Duties
- Supervise and schedule day to day content request workflow.
- Serve as a liaison between the requester and the Execution Teams (Art, Photography, Video) to ensure team members have all information needed to execute requests.
- Keep all project stakeholders informed of work status and due dates, including changes to priorities, conflicts, delays or any other unusual situations, adjusting to the demands of the business on a daily basis.
- Tracks projects in order to accurately report on status, oversee and maintain schedule changes and updates to ensure projects are on track.
- Work closely with Management to Identify project requirements, estimate cost and/or time requirements for successful project completion.
- Lead resource maximization through resource scheduling and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Work with management to communicate opportunities for video and photography production synergies.
- Manages resources in the creative and technical execution of product focused content overseeing schedules, personnel, facilities, technical needs, product/sample flow, and other various tasks.
- Minimize need for reshoots and reduce costs by sticking to process and holding accountability of responsible parties.
- Ensures successful execution of projects.
- Understand and execute the defined objectives of the Creative Operations department and work toward furthering company goals.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to develop a time sensitive workflow process to increase on time deliverables.
- Uses independent judgment and authority toward resource allocation (financial and personnel) on individual projects.
- Encourage employee engagement, teamwork and development.
- Ability to use and understand financial systems for HSN individuals and associated companies including company purchases / rentals / and products.
- Distributes key financial information to appropriate managers and supervisors.
- Ability to work collaboratively with independent contractors including Art Directors, Videographers, Audio Technicians, Makeup Artists, Stylists, Location Manager, Culinary, Models, Talent, etc. - and logging info into the system as necessary.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, eCommerce, TV or Digital Media related field
Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years business experience in TV production/Video production/Digital media production planning required.Experience in internet, retail, and/or merchandising environment preferred.
3-5 Years Media Asset Management experience preferred
