  • Level III Trauma Center
  • 145 Beds
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year with strong, broad MS experience
  • First-time traveler: Yes, with strong experience
  • Medical Floor (3rd Floor) - 40 Beds
  • 2 units that have been combined into one unit on single floor
  • 20 beds on each side
  • Patient Types: Medical – COPD, CHF, emphysema, CAD, DM, ETOH W/D, dementia, failure to thrive, falls with or without injury, kidney failure and patients on dialysis, sepsis, UTI’s, GI bleeds and all sorts of different wounds
  • May see a few surgical patients, but majority of them go to the 2nd floor
  • Stroke Certified Unit
  • Training Provided
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year with strong, broad MS experience
  • Required Certifications: NIHSS - required, BLS
    Schedule Information
  • Day: 1:5-6
  • Shift Unit Manager- sometimes have patients
  • Unit Secretary: Day shift- 07:00-1930
  • Day: 0700-1930; Night: 1930-0700
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Weekends for day shift are Sat/Sun. Weekends for night shift are Fri/Sat.
  • Holidays: 1-2 Holidays over the winter
  • Eve is a holiday for the night shift
  • Day shift is the day of the holiday
  • Overtime: May be available, not required
  • Time-Off: Able to approve 5 days; if more email MS leadership
  • On Call- optional

  • Patient Ratios: 1:8 with CNAs
