Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
MUST HAVE:
• Non-Commissioned Guard Card
• Copies of relevant certificates
Duties
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
• Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Manage conflicts by de-escalating potentially volatile situations while ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify security risks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing detailed reports on incidents as required.
• Provide first aid assistance as needed, maintaining a valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Customer service skills
• Physically capable of standing/walking for long periods of time
• Previous experience a plus!
Qualifications
• Previous experience in security, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong skills in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
• Ability to effectively manage conflicts with professionalism and composure.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in security practices is a plus.
• Must possess strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• A is advantageous but not required; candidates with may have an edge in understanding security protocols.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
