Validation Technician

Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:

In this role, you will be responsible for laboratory-based tasks in the NPI (New Product Introduction) division, which include building and modifying prototypes, assisting with test setups build, upkeep and development of laboratory infrastructure.

Additionally, your tasks will include:

• Building of test setups or assisting with test setup build
• Building and maintaining test equipment and laboratory infrastructure
• Overseeing safety and condition of laboratory equipment

Qualifications:

• Electrician's degree
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in electrical installations

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems/installations and safety hazards associated with them
• Knowledge and competence for using basic power/hand tools required for maintenance tasks
• Self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements
• Flexibility to perform two-shift work when required
