Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all required pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, paragraph 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a physical examination.
Must maintain a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant license.
Possess a valid driverβs license as required by local/state or military regulations.
Must maintain knowledge of current applicable FAA regulations.
Must frequently handle objects weighing up to 20 and occasionally 50 pounds with/without assistance.
This position is covered by the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R.
This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
As a condition of employment, incumbent of a TDP is subject to a random drug test that occurs without suspicion that a particular individual is using illegal drugs.
Qualifications
Must have experience that demonstrates the ability to perform maintenance on a variety of General Aviation aircraft with little to no supervision.
In addition to knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, and less complex assemblies, must possess knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of a wide array of aircraft systems and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumentation systems, engine(s), landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces.
Must possess skills and abilities to function test and/or troubleshoot aircraft systems; determine when they are operation properly or whether portions of the system must be repaired or replaced; and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment needed.
Must be able to successfully use appropriate tools and test equipment to maintain and test aircraft operability.
Must have skill in reading and understanding data and settings from the cockpit instruments and gauges.

PCS Costs
Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
