Summary This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position is assigned to the Wright-Patt AFB Golf Courses, performing work which involves simple manual tasks that require light to moderate physical effort, uses simple hand tools for maintenance of the golf course and facilities Moderately heavy physical effort is required in occasionally lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and in pushing heavy furniture, loading carts, etc. Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing up to 40 pounds Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Must be willing to provide proof of status as a U.S. citizen or Non-U.S. National. Must meet specified residency criteria. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be able to use, control, and clean common hand tools, and simple power equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Skill and Knowledge: A certain degree of manual skill is required in the safe use of hand tools and in operating simple power equipment. Continual care must be exercised by the incumbent due to the nature of the tools and equipment used, and weight of the objects handled. Physical Effort: Moderately heavy physical effort is required in occasionally lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and in pushing heavy furniture, loading carts, etc. Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed outside in all kinds of weather and inside in areas that may be dusty, drafty and noisy. Mishandling of the equipment, tools and tasks involved may result in injuries that are more serious Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
