You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. You will be required to frequently handle weights up to 45 pounds. You will be required to obtain a government license to operate carts, forklifts to transport components or material and perform workload/labor transactions in support of tasks. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools including drills, grinders, countersinks, shears and saws to carry out precise modifications and repairs; 2) Identifying and determining tooling, equipment and materials required for the fabrication and assembly of structural repairs; and 3) Performing planning, layout and fabrication tasks to support repair of primary aircraft structural components.
