Summary About the position: This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position will be assigned to the Recycling Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks involved in the RRRP. Physical Effort: Continual and heavy physical effort is required. Frequent lifting and moving of heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds, Requires repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be willing to provide proof of status as a U.S. citizen or Non-U.S. National. Must meet specified residency criteria. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test and random testing thereafter. This position requires a valid driver’s license. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Position requires knowledge and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform manual labor, work with both hand and powered tools and operate and clean heavy powered equipment. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must frequently lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete all required background checks. Requires a valid state vehicle operator's license. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
