Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Commissioning/Site Engineer for HV/EHV projects in Greece and Cyprus. The Commissioning Engineer will lead the execution of projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with company procedures. He/She will also ensure completion of all commissioning activities, efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Plan on-site activities including necessary local resources, equipment and milestones. Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on site requirements & policies.
• Contribute to planning and implementation of commissioning activities
• Ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements from the beginning of the project to the final handover to the customer.
• Ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary (the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for the construction work on site).
• Implement commissioning design changes and provides mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
• Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Manage external organizations to ensure availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services.
• Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification
• Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Secure the alignment to legal and Hitachi Energy global requirements and address any issues if needed.

Your Background
• University Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with Substation Automation Systems
• Knowledge of Protection IEDs, SCADA and RTU systems
• Excellent knowledge of English and Greek language
• Excellent knowledge of MS office
• Excellent organization & communication skills
• Team mentality
• Ability to regularly travel
• Completed military service for male applicants
