About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position will serve as a multi-faceted role for the planning and execution of industrial equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and production facility utilization located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Machinist ~ without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common tasks including manufacture castings, forgings, weldments, and other fabrications using various metals and materials, use of various tools to perform these tasks and working with blueprints and other layout work. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

• PHYSICAL EFFORT: Is required to stand, stoop, bend and reach; and frequently handles objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally objects weighing as much as 40 pounds. Hoists, hand trucks, lifts, and other workers are available to assist with heavier items.
• WORKING CONDITIONS: Usually works inside in areas that are noisy and dirty, and where there is a danger to skin and eyes from flying metal chips, abrasive particles, and hot metal; skin irritation from contact with coolants, lubricants, and abrasive compounds; and danger to the fingers, hands, and other parts of the body from cutting tools, grinding wheels, rotating work pieces, and moving parts of the machines. May be exposed to explosive hazards while working on production equipment while explosive operations are in progress.
