Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. The earliest start date for this position will be September 1st, 2025. This position is fixed term and has an expected end date of August 31st, 2028. This position will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing the art design for administrative, web, marketing, service center, public affairs, and online course projects. Responsibilities • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Design department including employment, work allocation, client relations, budgeting, and artistic style. • Art Director for internal and external projects. • Design high quality assets to meet studio and client needs. • Supervise design staff and student technology assistants (STAs), including provide feedback and coaching on performance. • Act as project manager on projects including handling client communication, budget allocation, scheduling, and assessing quality of final deliverables. • Work with other staff to set daily, weekly, and semester-length tasks for Design team. • Work with Director of Studio Department to assist with planning and running of the department. • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree. • At least two years experience as an Art Director. • Project management experience in setting goals, supervising projects, making deadlines. • High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative suite programs. • Working knowledge of Workday, Slack, and Harvest. • High level of knowledge of Basecamp. • Experience working with Miro. • Professional experience managing and mentoring a team of student employees. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications • Professional customer service and support skills in media creation. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and budgetary requirements. • Several years of experience creating and developing content for social media. • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. • Strong knowledge and ability to create mechanisms to track effort and resources on projects. • Demonstrated ability to organize a schedule for multiple part-time student employees. • Professional customer service and support skills in asset creation. • Working knowledge of and experience using AirTable. • At least two years experience managing a marketing campaign for summer online course programs. • High level of skill in creating animation based projects. • At least two years of professional experience at The University of Texas at Austin working directly with and managing students. • Experience working with QR Code Generator. • Very strong communication skills. • Strong creative vision with attention to business objectives. • Highly skilled in leading a team of creatives. Salary Range $ 47,000-55,000 Working Conditions Environmental Demands: • Work location is on the UT Main Campus. • May work in extreme temperatures. • May work under fluorescent light • May work around standard office conditions. • May work around electrical and mechanical hazards. Physical Tasks: • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. • Use of manual dexterity. • Climbing of stairs. • Climbing of ladders • Lifting and moving.
