EverQuote is looking for a talented support engineer with strong Mac skills to join us as our first IT Support Engineer onsite in our Belfast office.  The ideal candidate will excel in high quality desk side and remote support and have a passion for troubleshooting and handling issues from inception to conclusion. What you’ll do:

• Manage Mac laptop setup and deployments for new employees using standard hardware and software. We also have a small amount of Windows devices to support

Who you are:

• 2-3 years of experience working as a Desktop Support Specialist or comparable technical role


• Experience working with support ticket tracking software (Jira/Jira Service Management experience a plus)


• Experience working with MDM platforms is required (Jamf experience a plus)


• Excellent computer skills/knowledge required, as well as the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot hardware and software layer issues


• Well-organized and able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks


• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and common LAN switching and wifi technologies 


• Experience installing/troubleshooting networking hardware including switches and wireless access points (Meraki experience a plus)


• Ability to work cross functionally with various teams


• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills


• Self starter with a drive to learn and develop new skills and technologies


• Experience with SOX compliance a plus


• Some manual lifting may be required from time to time
