Strategy and Technology lays the path for Nokia's future technology innovation and identifies the most promising areas for Nokia to create new value. Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia's intellectual property. We are looking for ambitious and highly engaged colleagues as part of the Standardization & Industry Environment Team.
What you will learn and contribute to:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled senior standardization specialist to represent Nokia in relevant Standards Development Organizations (SDO) and trade associations regarding standards and IPR policies, and also manage SDO membership for Nokia.

As part of our team, you will:
- Support Nokia with standardization and IPR policies on global, regional and national levels;
- Take leadership positions in relevant SDO and association policy committees
- Actively formulate and influence Nokia position with other companies and relevant associations
- Represent Nokia in relevant SDOs include ITU, ISO/IEC, IEEE, ANSI/ATIS/TIA (in USA), etc.
- Be responsible for Nokia membership in external associations, industry for a and SDOs.
Your skills and experience
- A background with an MSc degree or PhD in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience in dealing with standards and IPR policies in global fora, such as ITU, ISO/IEC, IEEE, IETF, ETSI (in Europe), CCSA (in China), ANSI/ATIS/TIA (in USA)
- Proven ability to work in a multi-national and distributed team consisting of technical, legal and policy expertise, as well as the self-motivation to work independently.
- Experience in leading distributed team(s) is an advantage
- Within Nokia, expect to collaborate with the intellectual property attorneys in corporate legal and in TECH as well as with policy experts in the Government Affairs team
- Fluent English is essential
