As a Solar Water Farm Assembly Worker, you will be instrumental in helping GivePower accomplish ambitious goals by building GivePower’s Solar Water Farm products in our warehouse in Austin. You will have the opportunity to work on the manufacturing and assembly of projects that will be deployed around the globe. Your role will be responsible for adhering to the production timeline for GivePower’s Solar Water Farms, maintaining a high build quality standard, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be contributing greatly to the level of GivePower’s impact firsthand and be an instrumental team member, creating sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. If you thrive in a start-up culture, you will get to use your passion and creativity to help build an organization that is aiming to change people’s lives around the world.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Read and understand engineering drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions • Read and follow SOP’s and OEM equipment manuals to adhere to best installation practices • Install, inspect, commission and troubleshoot electrical and plumbing systems in GivePower’s Solar Water Farms • Provide complete and thorough documentation during assembly and upon completion of each project including inspection, calibration, commissioning and Final Acceptance Testing • Work closely with the remote engineering team to provide updates and contribute to continual improvement efforts • Safely and effectively operate light to medium equipment including hand tools, power tools, forklift, scissor lift, and other lifting equipment • Maintain high levels of workmanship and installation quality • Closely monitor and document inventory stock takes in real time • Understand and properly use all issued PPE • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned to support overall team success and operational objectivesRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • 3+ years in assembly manufacturing • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Strong focus on providing timely solutions and deliverables • Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics • Basic understanding and experience with electrical (AC/DC), plumbing, and control systems • Experience using ERP systems, Procore, and inventory management software a plus • Experience working with Solar batteries, welding and/or plasma cutters • Innovative, creative, “outside-the-box” thinking • Thrives in dynamic environment, natural problem solver • Maintains a positive can-do attitude with growth mindset • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things happen • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen a plus • Able to lift up to 50lbs • High school diploma required Compensation: $20 - $23/Hour Additional Information Regarding Job Duties and Job Descriptions: Job duties include additional responsibilities as assigned by one's supervisor or other managers related to the position/department.
