Unarmed Security Officer - 1st Shift, Part Time
Job Overview:
Prosegur Security is seeking a professional and customer service–focused Unarmed Security Officer. This role emphasizes physical patrol duties, gate and access control, and providing a safe and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and property.
Officers must demonstrate exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance by adhering to company grooming and uniform standards (e.g., shirts tucked, neat attire, no visible undershirts).
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to identify and deter safety hazards, security risks, and unauthorized access
• Manage access control points, including gate operations and badge checks, to ensure authorized entry.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety hazards promptly.
• Deliver excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors with professionalism and courtesy
• Follow established site and company procedures, complying with all client and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies, disturbances, and client requests.
• Collaborate with the security team and site management to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Consistently maintain a clean, professional appearance and grooming standards.
Qualifications:
• Must have a valid California Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Exceptional customer service skills are absolutely required.
• Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Comfortable with access control systems and gate operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to stay calm and think clearly during emergencies or stressful situations.
• Dependable, reliable, and committed to ethical conduct.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards, including properly worn uniforms (shirts tucked, neat attire, and professional presentation at all times).
