Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at Chili's Bar and Grill, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. This position is ineligible for Logistic Support. Sets up cafeteria lines, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Incumbent must be physically in Germany before a firm/final job offer can be received. This position may require the incumbent to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical due to the moderate lifting and physical effort required for the position. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
