Summary This position is located at the Ansbach Outdoor Recreation Center. A one-year probationary period may be required. Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation. This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, US holidays and MWR Special Events. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class 2 or 3 license (B, BE, D or DE) to drive vehicles and vehicles with trailers. Qualifications Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience. Highly Preferred Possess certifications or experience leading groups in outdoor recreation activities such as climbing, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, archery, paintball, cycling, and bicycle maintenance. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
